If you could see me now you would hear me singing for joy. I have been looking for a healthy kid friendly menu plan for years!!! Not kidding. I can’t wait to try your recipes and ideas. We’re really trying to eat better and you are a great resource. Please keep them coming!
Just a question, are all the recipes for the foods you post on your blog? Some of the I have not located yet.
Thanks again!

Hi Kelly! I’m so glad you found my blog :)
So, the recipe question. I am super paranoid about posting recipes from my cookbooks at home because I have this nightmare that someone is going to sue me for copyright infringement. I sat on a jury for copyright infringement and have been scared ever since. Lol. However, I am happy to email you any recipe that I don’t have links for (because they are probably in cookbooks at home).

Problem #2, my recipe “index” is horrible! I have switched from having access to web writing software to not having it. So half my recipes are within my blog, half are on the recipe page. But my plan is this summer (I’m taking some classes right now) to have a REAL index of recipes!! So, stay tuned!

So, for now, you can either email me for a recipe that I haven’t linked to, or you can use the search tab on my blog sidebar. That usually helps me to find the recipes I’m looking for.

Take care and good luck in feeding your family!!

I’m headed over to check out your blog now.

Hi, thanks for all the info! I want nothing more than to have my kids eat healthy (3 yr. old twins)…but they refuse to try new things and I think they have textural issues (combining textures). But even simple fruits and veggies they just won’t eat. I try to put them in smoothies and hide in recipes but I want them to try them and eat them when on the plate. Any tips on how I can get my kids try actually eat healthy so I can feed them healthy? It is my daily struggle.

Hi Andrea,
Thanks for reading my blog!
I get this question a lot from readers. As parents, we want our kids to enjoy fruits and vegetables, so I totally understand! As a mom who’s been there, it’s quite amazing how the kids evolve. One week mine will like something, the next they won’t. Or as in the case of my 11 year old, it took over 8 years of putting salad on his plate until he actually started to like it! Even us as parents, our tastes are maturing and changing. And you are right, texture has a huge thing to do with it! My daughter love’s apples, but won’t touch applesauce.
I think keeping these things in mind, helps us to develop patience as parents. The key is to keep the exposure constant. Whether they eat their fruits and vegetables or not, it’s vital to keep offering, without fail. While their tastes and preferences are developing, I would just make sure they were getting a good multi vitamin, and not give up!
They’ll come around! My 7 year old (before I started this blog) would literally only eat hot dogs. Now he’ll eat everything we offer. Why does it have to take so dang long thought? Right??
