I have every intention to make fruits and vegetables MORE appealing to your little ones, but instead this idea is likely to gross them out! But hey, maybe someone’s having a “Gross things” party, or need some edible, yet ugly Halloween party food, or just read the book, “How to Eat Fried Worms” and wanted a little object lesson lunch.. whatever your reasons, here is our WORM SANDWICHES!
We Julienned zucchini and yellow squash. (fancy for cutting into long strips)
Then, we put in our cast iron skillet with 1/4 cup water mixed with some brown food coloring.
And sautéed in the water until soft and tender.
And there is our crazy, gross looking lunch, that we actually like :)

I didn’t even know there was brown food coloring. This sounds yummy.
I have every food coloring known to man. I used to love decorating cakes, so they are all Wilton Colors. (I was never good at cake decorating, plus my kids don’t like cake :) )
My prissy little girls would never go for it! Maybe when my little guy grows up and I need to entertain some boys.
The name of the dish sounds like I am not going to try this. It really sounds so disgusting.
Thats great, i think i am going to make some this halloween! I never knew they had brown food colouring either.
Great healthy alternative to candy!!! thank you!
This is so cute! You know how I love silly names for fun food :)
I love it! You have the best food ideas…I’m totally making this with the kids-they’ll LOVE it. They may not eat it, but they’ll still love it :D
