Miracle Berries and Menu Ideas
Have you heard about the miracle fruit? My kids and I were watching the Science channel last night and they did a segment about this berry that literally changes the taste receptors on your tongue. For an entire hour after eating a berry, everything tastes sweet… Including Tabasco sauce and broccoli! This could literally make any child eat vegetables! Crazy huh.
Decided to mail my camera into Olympus for them to fix the lens. I don’t need to ruin by taking it apart.
Come back on Monday for another giveaway. Do you like my rhyming hints to what the giveaway is? Dreaming Fireflies! You won’t want to miss it.

I need your help….I should just get your email but for now I hope this works. I attempted to get my family to drink a persimmon shake this morning. My husband even said it was nasty, and he usually humors me in my healthy attempts. So now I have about 5 cups of persimmon shake which is just rice milk and about 6 persimmons blended together. What should I do with this? Can I make some kind of muffin concoction?? Thoughts??

Hey mom: I plan to post that smoothie tomorrow! Stay tuned.
Bummer Vanessa. If a good husband won’t even drink it, how can we expect the kids to, huh.
As far as the rest goes.. I guess it would depend on the consistency. If its thick enough, you could definitely use it in baked goods as you would any fruit puree (like applesauce). I would be tempted to also try to freeze it for popsicles. Sometimes when its REALLY REALLY cold, it actually tastes better. Lastly, I would freeze it in small amounts to add it to other flavored smoothies in the future.
I’ve never tried persimmons. I think I’d like to.

Can you post your recipe for your orange creamsicle smoothie? Also, we made your jam with raisins, dates, and oj. It was great! I’ll never buy store bought with sugar again. Thanks.
